Sophia Prix is a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at the Institute of Behavioral Science and Technology at the University of St. Gallen. Her research focuses on consumer perceptions of new technologies, with a particular interest in consumer reactions to autonomous decision-making and movement. She is currently working on how product perceptions of autonomous vehicles and smart devices shape spatial behavior. Likewise, she is interested in the risks and benefits of human-technology interaction for consumer behavior and psychological functioning.
Sophia received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Strasbourg. After that she completed a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Social, Economic, and Decision-making Psychology from the University of Basel.


When not doing research, Sophia enjoys hiking in the Swiss Alps as well as running. Further, she is a passionate piano player and enjoys crafting and painting.
